I launched The Mad Batter in 2016 because gluten free cake shouldn't taste well... gluten free.
I wanted cake that tasted like cake.
Except I'm pretty sure no one else let their train of thought get to...
"I wonder if I can bake a gluten free cake and make it taste like an actual cake?"
...and then turn it into a business.
Lucky for you that is exactly what I did.
I love to bake and create cakes that you would actually wanna eat. Bright colours, fun designs and incredible flavours. Plus we can do it free from but so it actually tastes like cake. And it's all about you. Your cake, your way.

As someone with a gluten intolerance, it was really important for me to be able to make cakes for everyone along with my classic range of bakes.
Dietary needs are a normal part of what I do so that means that
gluten free, vegan and dairy free cakes are made in a completely separate baking area with their own tools and equipment.
Your cake will always be beautiful, full of flavour and made with care, without compromise and won't taste free from, your cake will absolutely just taste like cake!

I use a completely separate baking area, equipment and utensils for all my free-from cakes so everyone can enjoy a slice safely.
I wanna hear about your dog just as much as your cake ideas (photos actively encouraged)
Sticky toffee pudding is the best dessert going and I will debate this lovingly.
If I make your wedding cake and I’m a guest at your wedding, I’ll absolutely sneak off to take photos with it while adding the final touches.
