CAKE CUTTING GUIDE

Cutting your cake this way helps you get the right number of portions and keeps everything neat.

This is the guide I share with venues and coordinators so they know exactly how to cut each tier for the perfect slices

My wedding cake portions are based on finger portions, which are:

1 inch by 2 inches

and

half the height of the cake.

These portions are the industry standard for wedding cakes and give you the most from each tier.

Folllow the illustration below to get the most portions out of your cake. Please remove all non edible decorations and florals first before cutting.

Each diagram shows how to slice the cake from the outside in to achieve clean, consistent portions.
